Real Estate Development
The Neighborhood Recovery Community Development Corporation is working to develop, revitalize and manage quality single-family homes and multi-family apartment communities in the urban core. The organization is committed to providing safe, affordable housing to families while helping them maximize their asset creation.
Without more affordable housing, increasing numbers of low- and middle-income families are being priced out of decent, nearby neighborhoods, or they are living in crowded or substandard conditions.
Houston was ranked the 6th most congested city in the nation, according to the INRIX National Traffic Scorecard 2008 Annual Report. NRCDC’s urban planning and housing development would allow low and moderate-income workers to live close to their jobs. Increasing the supply of affordable housing for our workforce is critical to the health of local businesses. NRCDC believes building of sufficient housing is itself a boost to local business, and the economy in general, creating a variety of jobs from construction to real estate to retail and services.
