The Neighborhood Recovery Community Development Corporation (NRCDC) recognizes the strength of individual families determines the ultimate strength of community. The organization offers a continuum of courses designed to help individuals and families develop personalized plans for the economic sustainability of their households.
NRCDC is working to positively effect residents’ values and behaviors regarding finances and lifestyles. NRCDC helps families improve their financial position by opening individual savings accounts or completing the credit and budget counseling.
NRCDC provides Money Health and Wealth financial literacy on a bi-monthly basis. Classes are open to anyone living, working or attending area schools and businesses. NRCDC also provides homebuyer/owner counseling and owns and operates the 16-station Computer and Technology Learning Center.
Through its courses, NRCDC plans to achieve the following:
- counsel families in financial and homebuyer education classes
- assist people in opening individual savings accounts
- provide budget and credit counseling
- convert families to homebuyers
- people open new personal savings accounts
