Thomas Deon Warner is a partner with Warner & Associates, PLLC. Since 1997, Mr. Warner has been engaged in the private practice of corporate, real estate and securities law for his own firm. His prestigious career spans more than two decades.
From 1986 to 1997, Mr. Warner was associated with the law firm of Andrews & Kurth, LLP (now Andrews & Kurth Mayor, Day, Caldwell & Keeton LLP) in the corporate law department. He was a partner at Andrews & Kurth from 1992 to 1997, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, bond financing, equity venture capital financing, bank financing and general securities and corporate transactional matters, such as initial public offerings, private placements and securities periodic report filings. Mr. Warner also was also retained to prepare and present strategic corporate planning to business clients (including business plans and financing packages) and to mediate complex corporate disputes.
In 1991, Mr. Warner was appointed by the Governor of the State of Texas to serve as trustee over the Texas State Securities Board. From 1992 through 1998, he served as an adjunct professor of law at Texas Southern University School of Law where he taught Securities Regulation and Commercial Mediation and Introduction to Mediation.
Mr. Warner is a member of the American Bar Association; National Bar Association; State Bar of Texas; Colorado Bar Association; Houston Bar Association; and the Houston Lawyers Association.
He is actively involved in the community with such organizations as The United Way-Gulf Coast, Leadership Houston, Big Brothers and Sisters, Toastmasters – Easy Risers (past President) and Neighborhood Recovery Community Development Corporation.
Mr. Warner graduated from Howard University School of Law in 1984 and from the University of Colorado (Boulder) with a B.A. in Economics in 1981. He was an editor on the Howard Law Journal. He is admitted to practice by the Colorado Bar and the Texas Bar.
